Based on our collaborative project for 2026, the IFAIN team, led by our CEO, Professor Ehimario IGUMBOR, and CSO, Professor Stephen Obaro, recently paid a courtesy visit to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Office in Abuja.

During this engagement, we met with the Global Health Protection Division, including the Country Head, Dr. Farah Husain, and her technical team. The session provided an opportunity to formally introduce IFAIN, highlight our work across infectious disease prevention, surveillance, and health systems strengthening, and reflect on the impact of our programs over the years.

Discussions also explored emerging global health priorities, including insights around the evolving “America First” policy framework and potential implications for collaboration and funding opportunities relevant to IFAIN’s multi-country work.

As an organisation committed to advancing infectious disease control across borders, we value strategic dialogue, partnership, and alignment with global health stakeholders working towards resilient and equitable health systems.

We look forward to continued engagement and collaboration in pursuit of shared public health goals.
